Burj al-Luqluq Organized a Specialized Course in Handball skills for Teachers of Education in Jerusalem

Burj al-Luqluq social center society organized a training course in handball skills and game law for teachers and private schools in Jerusalem, as part of Developing School Sports project, in partnership with the Directorate of Education in Jerusalem, supervised under Welfare Association and funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

The course lasted for three days of intensive training with expert coach Hassan Al-Ghalban who provided intensive training for teachers on the main and primary skills in addition to the tactical skills of the game, focusing on the game law and the most important developments in the international law.

Thirty-two teachers from Jerusalem schools, which are supervised by the Directorate of Education, participated in the training, also Project coordinator Ahmed Jaber, female sports education supervisor Iman Sari and male physical education supervisor Basim Omran participated in the training.

Project coordinator Ahmed Jaber said that the Developing School Sports project in Jerusalem schools contributed to the development of the sports class inside schools significantly. Through the project, Burj al-Luqluq society provided sports uniforms and sports equipment to 53 schools in Jerusalem and contributed to the rehabilitation of ten playgrounds in Jerusalem schools.

The project also contributed to the training of sports teachers in schools on the skills of various games such as basketball, hand, volleyball, gymnastics and table tennis. During the project, the award of the best sports education class was launched within the schools, which targeted all the schools of the directorate in the city of Jerusalem. The results were distinguished and urged teachers to pay attention to the sports class and organize it in line with the mathematical and scientific bases.
