Burj Al-Luqluq Launches «Hajar-Logya» Interactive 3D Exhibition for the Most Important Architectural Features in Jerusalem

Burj Al-luqluq Social Center Society in partnership with Al Nayzak Organization opened the exhibition «Architectural & Technological Documentation to Preserve the Historical Cultural Heritage in the Old City of Jerusalem Project” at the Children Happiness Center – Hebron Municipality, and Hebron University for five days in the presence of representatives of ministries, local and governmental institutions and Palestinian artists.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Hebron University Dr. Salah Al-Zaro, the administrative deputy Dr Nabil Hassasneh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr Raghad Dweik, Director of the Hebron Meteorite Office, Moath Merheb, Executive Director of Burj Al-luqluq Society, Muntaser Edkaidek, and Jerusalem Artist Abdul Jalil Al-Razem.
The Executive director of BALL, Muntaser Edkaidek started by welcoming the attendees, institutions, and students and stressed that the project is targeted students who are prohibited from entering Jerusalem and learning about the landmarks of it.
Edkaidek expressed his happiness to accomplish this unique work in the technological field and employ this creativity to preserve the cultural heritage of Jerusalem. It is worth mentioning that this project was completed in partnership with Al Nayzak organization.
Hebron Mayor Tayseer Abu Sneineh expressed his gratitude for this hard work and explained that Jerusalem and Hebron are interdependent until the end and will always work to support and host Jerusalem. President of Hebron University Salah Al-Zaru expressed his gratitude for this serious work and explained that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine and this kind of unique artistic and cultural works is what our students need to be an example for them in the development of historical and archaeological works in Palestine.
The exhibition consists of 3D figures of the most famous historical and archaeological sites within the Old City of Jerusalem. It gives a 3D picture -with Engineering measurements semi-real but a miniature-of the buildings of the old city with a robot that explains about each model, and also a corner of VR 360 technological works to learn about Jerusalem, and another corner to view the cultural and educational applications designed by BALL.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition was implemented by Burj Al-luqluq Social Center Society in partnership with Al Nayzak Organization under the supervision of the Welfare Association and funded by
the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
