The Mayor of Strasburg, Roland Rees, the External Relations Manager and a delegation of employees from social and sports departments visited Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society in coordination with the French Consulate General in Jerusalem. The visit was for the purpose of knowing the latest programs and activities, especially the Community Incubator project executed four years ago with the support of the French Consulate General in Jerusalem.
During the visit, Burj Al-Luqluq Executive Manager, Muntaser Edkaidek talked about the Center and displayed a short film that present all the activities of the center. Moreover, the mayor learned about the football trainings in the center and talked to the football trainer, Nihad Zughayyar, and took a group picture with the team. The mayor expressed that Burj Al-Luqluq football field is good and Burj Al-Luqluq is a special place which provides services to children, youth and mothers. He added that he won’t hesitate about keeping the bridge of communication and mutual work between Strasburg and Burj Al-Luqluq.
The Mayor also visited Bab Hutta neighbour and toured around its market to see the daily life routines of people over there. He also learned about the population in that neighbourhood and the problems they face due to the low level of governmental services.
