Visit of a delegation from the European Union to the facilities of Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society and We Are Change project.

Fostering Socio-Economic Empowerment and Protection of Vulnerable Palestinian Communities in East Jerusalem” Project – Phase I and II. 


A delegation from the European Union, represented by a group of European Union program directors in East Jerusalem, Mr. Patrick Boudry, Ms. Daniela Svirsk, and Ms. Samah Jaouni, visited the project We Are Change funded by the European Union in cooperation with the International Committee for the Development of Peoples (CISP).


The visit included the most important project implementation facilities in the center, including the Burj Al-Luqluq tent, Al-Burj kindergarten, operator, and Al-Burj ceramics laboratory and training center.

These facilities, which host some of the activities implemented within the project, such as art courses with the teacher Raneem Al-Razem, academic support courses in Arabic and English for students, addition to academic support in the Hebrew language, in addition to hosting a large part of the activities of the social and psychological specialist at the center.

The visiting delegation was welcomed by the Executive Director of Burj Al-Luqluq , Muntaser Idkadek, and a group of employees working on the project, reviewing the most important achievements of the project, highlighting the importance of the academic aspect that includes many different educational activities, especially the activities of Burj Al-Luqluq Kindergarten, inviting the delegation to visit the kindergarten facility and get acquainted Close on the progress of work there, in cooperation with the director of the kindergarten Mrs. Basimah Al-Julani and the teacher Suhair Moussa.

And after the delegation got acquainted with the progress of the kindergarten, they went to the laboratory and training center of Burj Al-Luqluq, and they were received a course by the ceramic and the art trainer at the center, the artist Nimer Al-Sartawy, speaking about the workflow and training for the new students, where the workshop carried out an annual 8-month vocational training for a distinguished group of female students Who have been accepted.

Then Mr. Ahmed Al-Khayyat, Program Development Coordinator at the center, spoke about the importance of the economic aspect supported by the project, especially by providing job opportunities for female students who are graduates of Burj Al-Luqluq Ceramics laboratory and Training Center, in addition to the skills needed to turn this hobby into a skill and work in the future.
