Distinguished youth activities on “International Youth Day”

Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society launched a group of community-based youth activities on Tuesday 11-8-2020 on the occasion of the “International Youth Day”.

where 40 young men and women from the YPEER  Education Network participated in organizing the event.

The youth activities were distinguished by the interactive activities, starting with drawing a mural expressing the participating young men and women on one of the center’s walls.

Then, after the break, a group of competitive activities was organized among the participants, which contributed to promoting the concepts of volunteering and team-building among the group.

 

Farah Abuzant, the coordinator of  Forsa project, said that “The event this year took a different character in light of the presence of the specter of the Coronavirus and its consequences, but the young people were able to take all safety and public health measures to preserve everyone.

It is noteworthy that the series of events comes within “Forsa project” funded by the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA.

Unrivaled success in the first episode of “Latifa and Society”

 

 

Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society, in cooperation with the young journalist “Latifa Abdul Latif”, launched the first episode of the socio-cultural program “Al Mojtama Wa Latifa”  with the entitled “Parents interference in choosing a life partner.”

 

The program is implemented through episodes broadcast on social media pages, and it discusses inherited societal behaviors and habits that we seek to change. Ten episodes will be broadcast from the beginning of July until the end of December.

 

Burj Alluqluq Social Center Society seeks through the program to take the opinion of the Jerusalemite street on social issues that need controversy and then specialists are hosted to talk about the issue from a competent point of view.

The first episode aims to educate the community about the importance of the role of young men and women who are about to get married to choose their future life partner by conducting random interviews with different Jerusalemite age groups giving their opinions on this topic and then hosting the specialist in family relations, “Dr. Talib Idkidk”, to talk about the topic from A specialized social aspect, giving answers and scientific explanations, and following up with comments and posts on the center’s Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that  “Latifa and Community Program” is part of  Forsa project funded through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
