Burj Al-Luqluq Social Center Society held the closing ceremony of Juthur 3 project on Thursday 12/01/2017 in the presence of the Jerusalem Governor, Adnan Al-Husseini, the British Consul- Genaral Alastair McPhail, Projects Manager Ghada Aurori, the representative of the Higher Council for Youth & Sports, Hadeel Zyadeh, in addition to Burj Al-Luqluq Head of Board, Naser Ghaith, Burj Al-Luqluq Executive Manager, Muntaser Edkaidek and the relatives of the participants.
The project coordinator Mohammad Dweik expressed that this project aims to enable youth professionally in order to be active in their communities through photography, communication skills, leadership training and the execution of initiatives.
The exhibition started with the speech of Burj Al-Luqluq Head of Board Members who welcomed the audience and stressed on Burj Al-Luqluq message in serving youth in addition to empowering their roles in serving their local communities.
It is worth mentioning that Juthur project is executed by Burj Al-Luqluq for the third year in a raw with the funds of the British Consulate General, it trained a number of school students on leadership, photography, communication skulls and correct use of social media so that they can show the violations they go through in Jerusalem. Around 50 beneficiaries aged between 12-17 have trained for six months, 4 hours per week.
Moreover, two initiatives were executed within the project to serve the local community. The first initiative focused on giving advices in a simple way while the other initiative focused on sick children at Al-Maqased and Augusta Victoria hospitals.
