BALL Organizes the Second Open Day for Children

Burj Al-luqluq Social Center Society in partnership with UNICEF organized the second open day within «Play & Learn» project, which was carried out in five main areas in Jerusalem: Isawiya, Jabal Al-Mukaber, Shu›fat Camp, Silwan, and the Old City. More than 400 children from beneficiary clubs were participated in the event.

The open day included several activities for children like football and basketball games, as well as interactive arts, and play theater with “Fanakesh” interactive theater.

Further, the open day included Tele Match competitions, which included several challenges among children with coach Anas Ryan, and Dabke dance show for children in cooperation with Al-Quds Club Dabke.

The spirit of challenge emerged among the children to show their best and determine the best level for each team. At the end of the open day, all participating children were honored with medals, cups, and gifts. The project coordinator Alaa Ghorab said that the project «Play & Learn» will continue to serve the children and youth in Jerusalem by sponsoring sports and academic activities within the Jerusalemite clubs, where the project contributed in providing students with sports uniforms, sports tools, and financial rewards for club coaches.

Miss Ghorab pointed out that the project contributes to strengthening the academic aspect of the children participating in the project by providing three teachers in the beneficiary clubs to support students academically.
